I just fully remade my resume and applied to jobs with ScreenRant and Collider. Do not get me wrong, I love my current job. More precisely, I love the people I work with and I do not hate the work itself. I have been there for almost four years and it is my second office administrator position. I feel no challenge in it, little creativity, by no one’s fault. Just the nature of the work.

My husband and I are in the middle of a move to the country right now and I am so excited for the freedom and peace that this will bring. It also creates an hour commute from my current job, giving me the perfect opening to try and write full time (ideally remotely).

As a lover of media, having a job where it is my prerogative to write pieces about the latest movie or series, or revisit the classics sounds like such a palate cleanser from my fiction writing. Getting to hone my skills during the day and make contacts in the literary world sounds like a dream come true.

I have uploaded one of the sample articles I wrote as well as an academic book review. Please take a look and let me know if I am insane to think I can afford a living using my written words. Keep me in your thoughts to the universe.
